Ridgewood Village Hall in Uckfield is celebrating its reopening following a complete refurbishment.
The renovation was possible thanks to support from local businesses including our South East team, who donated equipment, appliances and sanitaryware for a brand new kitchen and toilets.
Managed by a team of voluntary trustees, Ridgewood Village Hall is a registered charity and hosts an increasing range of activities including preschool groups, arts and crafts groups and sports clubs.
Karen Bedwell, Chair of Ridgewood Village Hall, said: “The hall underwent a £90,000 refurbishment and myself and the Ridgewood Village Hall Management Committee are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for supplying the new state of the art kitchen appliances and sanitaryware. The refurbishment simply could not have been completed without their support.”
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “It’s incredibly important to us to support the local community and we’re delighted to have been able to help the team at Ridgewood Village Hall with their renovation. The hall is a real hub of the community in Uckfield and we hope local residents will continue to enjoy the activities it runs for years to come.”
