We renovated the interior of Helen & Douglas House Garden Room

We have helped Helen & Douglas House, in Oxford, to create a multi-functional homely space for local families staying at the hospice by renovating their Garden Room

We support local communities

Our Oxfordshire team have supported Helen & Douglas House since 2015 and have donated over £43,000 through our staff fundraising. We have taken part in a Kilimanjaro trek, skydives and golf days.

All involved in creating this wonderful new space gathered in the hospice garden on 15th March 2022 to view the finished interior and Helen & Douglas House said thank you to everyone who helped with this amazing renovation.

We, with the help of our suppliers Show Business Interiors, Symphony Group, Clarkson Evans and Oxford Fencing, have provided new furniture, blinds, soft furnishings, units and worktops, lighting and decking. Master Craftsman and Apprentice Manager Keith Ricketts and his apprentices also volunteered their time to build and install the furniture.
 
Originally used as a space for play therapy, the Garden Room has now been repurposed as a special place where parents can go for reflection or to enjoy a moment of relaxation whilst their child is looked after by the Care Team.

This room is such an important part of what they offer to families of sick children, and being able to make it extra special for those who use it has made us extremely proud."
