Now that Steven has settled in, he reflects that his favourite aspect of his new home is The Beauford’s spacious design, and the sense of community in the neighbourhood. Steven adds, “the house feels large, spacious and having two bathrooms is a real plus. The size of the second bedroom means it can comfortably serve as a spare double bedroom, office and a gym. The build quality is amazing. The development and general area are both really nice. It's so quiet and peaceful here and the neighbours are really friendly.”
Speaking about the purchase process, Steven comments, “the sales team put me in touch with a mortgage advisor who, against all odds it seems, was able to get me a mortgage with a great rate! They were very helpful, especially Amy and Jonathan. They kept in touch throughout the process and were very considerate. My experience of home-buying was during the height of the pandemic and yet the Taylor Wimpey team still managed to make it a positive and engaging one.”
With the cost of living on the rise, saving on energy is becoming increasingly more important, and Steven has been impressed with how energy efficient the property is. “The house retains heat incredibly well. Despite moving into a two bedroom house, from a much smaller two bedroom flat, my energy usage and bills actually went down! I think the energy rating of the appliances also helped with this, as does the combi-boiler.”
